Care Mobile

Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles™ deliver cost-effective medical, dental and health education services to underserved children – right in their own communities. Each 40-foot long, 8-foot wide Ronald McDonald Care Mobile houses two patient examination rooms, a laboratory, a reception area and a medical records area. The program helps reduce reliance on expensive and inappropriate health resources, such as hospital emergency departments. The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile provides continuity of care by providing follow-up services and referrals to a primary care physician, dentist or pediatric sub-specialist.

The 31st Care Mobile was delivered to Medical Center Hospital in the Permian Basin area on August 28, 2007.  It is anticipated that the Care Mobile provides direct services for approximately 1500-3000 children ages 0-18 each year.
