Supporting our Special Events
As you consider making philanthropic donations and supporting our special events, we hope you'll remember that for a family with a hospitalized child, every day is fraught with uncertainty. Services that are provided to our families cannot be interrupted. The reality is that without us, a child may not have the opportunity to receive treatment that is only available in Lubbock simply because his or her parents could not afford alternative accommodations.
It costs Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Southwest $100+ to house each family, each night. Because we know that childhood medical crisis can be financially as well as emotionally devastating, RMHC asks each family to donate $15 per night, if they are able to do so. Families stay from just one night to weeks or months at a time. A family is never turned away for inability to pay - This is why our community support is so important.
Our goal is to help families stay together during a time of crisis. We strive to create an environment where a feeling of hope will flourish.
