JOB DESCRIPTION

Report to: Development Officer and Director of Administration

Responsible for: Working for 10-day period in the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Southwest. Fair Booth including the duties listed below and at the direction of the Development Officer and Director of Administration

Responsibilities

Volunteers
• Work with volunteers--being careful to be encouraging and respectful.
• Relay to the volunteers the appreciation of all the RMHC Board and Staff for their work.

Fair Booth Operations
• Learn to and cook great corndogs, supervise volunteers, organize and stock booth as needed.
• Work a daily 6-hour shift from September 24 through October 3, 2010
• Meet and discuss all aspects of fair booth with fair booth staff on Friday, _____________ @RMH.
• Follow instructions of your supervisor and report any problems immediately.
• Be responsible for cash being collected from sales.
• Additional duties as needed to operate the booth efficiently.

Qualifications
• Responsible, energetic and willing to work hard.
• Leadership/supervisory skills.
• Excellent driving record.
• Honest and dependable.

Physical demands and working conditions
• The position will be for a period of time only during and around the South Plains Fair. Physical demands are moderately high. Walking, standing, lifting, carrying and operating a vehicle are required.

Compensation
• $600 for 10 days work (6 hours/day)

Community Relations
This position is responsible to give presentations and continuing to educate the general public on RMHC and its mission. They will also be responsible for PR, marketing, advertising our programs, events, and successes. They will be responsible for written communication such as our newsletter. Graphic design background will be helpful in creating media pieces, fliers, invitations, etc. Knowledge of social media and technology required – this person will be our liaison to CTSI and computer needs of the staff. This position will be responsible for coordinating events at the direction of the Development Team (Quarterback S.A.C.K., “Look At the Stars” Benefit Dinner and Auction, Holiday mailer). This position will be responsible for the Theme Sale items.

Family Room Coordinator
This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Lubbock-area Family Rooms. Training, scheduling, coordinating, and recognizing Family Room volunteers. Data collection and reporting. Acting as a liaison with volunteers, RMHC staff, and hospital personnel. Other duties at the direction of the Programs Operations Manager.
