How do I get started as a volunteer?

  • Attend the orientation for new volunteers - see available dates below
  • Complete a volunteer application - available online or receive one at orientation.
  • Pay $5.00 (cash or check) for a background check - this charge ensures a safe place for all families and volunteers.
  • Schedule a time to come in and get started. Bring your personal calendar so we can see which time works best for you.
  • Come with a open heart -- you never know what you might become passionate about!

For Lubbock:

Scheduled orientations are held on Wednesday afternoons at 4:00pm.

You must CALL AND MAKE A RESERVATION before attending an orientation. 


If you cannot make it to one of the scheduled orientations, please call to make arrangements. We will attempt to accomodate your schedule.
