Ronald McDonald House®
Eligibility
In order to stay at the Ronald McDonald House, families must live outside Lubbock county, have a child under the age of 21 who is receiving treatment in a local hospital. Criteria for clearing families from our waiting list include distance travelled and seriousness of the illness.
About Our Rooms
The Ronald McDonald House in Lubbock has 17 rooms. All rooms are slightly different and are meant to accommodate families' varying needs. All of the rooms include a private bathroom, air conditioning, private phone line, and varying combinations of double beds, bunk beds and sleeper sofas. View pictures of our guest rooms.
Kitchen Facilities
Each family living at the Ronald McDonald House has access to kitchen facilities and a well stocked pantry. Stoves, refrigerators, freezers, microwaves, cooking utensils and dishes are available.
What is Provided
You'll need very little for your stay at the Ronald McDonald House.
We provide:
- bed linens (Be sure to bring any "favorite" pillows, blankets, stuffed animals, etc.)
- towels
- paper products
- cleaning supplies
- videos
- some children’s toys
- cooking supplies (food, pots, pans, coffee makers and coffee, utensils)
Cost
We ask for $15/night, if you are financially able. We also accept Texas and New Mexico Medicaid.
Transportation
Ronald McDonald House provides transportation to and from the hospital seven days a week.
