Court Ordered Volunteers
Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Southwest accepts Court Ordered Volunteers on a case-by-case basis which is determined by an interview. Ronald McDonald House does not accept the following offenses, which include, but are not limited to:
- any wrong doing with a child
- any type of drug possession
- any offense of a violent act or threat of a violent act
- any case of sexual offense or assault
- any offense of robbery or theft
- other offenses at the discretion of the Volunteer Coordinator or Executive Director
Requirements: All court-ordered volunteers must be 18 or older. Call (806) 744-8877 to determine if you are eligible to volunteer. If you are eligible, schedule an interview. The volunteer must fill out a volunteer application, pass a criminal background and sex offender check (for a $5 dollar fee) and provide a copy of the court papers stating the exact offense and how many hours are required by the court. If approved, hours will then be scheduled on the calendar.
Please note, there is a limit of volunteering for no more than 3 hours a day.
Court-ordered community service volunteers are primarily assigned cleaning chores while at the House.
