Earth Friends Recycling Volunteer
Do you have a passion for recycling and keeping our planet beautiful? Can you spare 90 minutes each week to help keep the Lubbock landfill clear? Then consider becoming a Ronald McDonald House Recycling Volunteer!
Ronald McDonald House Charities needs earth-conscious volunteers to come to our House once a week to pick up our recyclables and "donate-ables" and transport them to recycling/donation drop off locations.
These special volunteers will be helping us to keep our House clean, while at the same time helping us to keep the landfill clear. In addition, when aluminum cans are dropped off in our designated bins, the money collected from the cans goes directly to supporting our families in need. This is a winning situation all around!
We will work with your schedule to select a time that is appropriate for you. Recycling volunteers can use our mini-vans to transport the items.
This is a wonderful opportunity for an earth-friendly re-cycler who also wants to help families, or for the special person who wants to help out in general, but does not have a lot of time. Sometimes it only takes an hour a week to do a good deed!
Requirements: Volunteer must be 21 or older, have a valid driver's license with current proof of insurance, pass a criminal background check ($5 dollar fee for the background check) and pass a driver's license background check (provided at no charge).
