Guest Chefs

Do you love spending time in the kitchen with your friends while you laugh, sauté, chop, fry, giggle and bake? Become a Ronald McDonald Guest Chef!

Our Guest Chef program is the wonderful and amazing way that our community feeds the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. Having a critically ill child is a traumatic experience, so we aim to lessen that heartache by providing a warm, loving home-away-from-home. What is more heart-warming than a hot, fresh, home-cooked meal when you walk in the door? Yum!

We ask for you to provide enough food to feed 40 people (3 or 4 large casseroles will do the trick!) Drinks and desserts are optional, though appreciated! We will gladly give you meal and recipe ideas if needed.

Bring the ingredients to our beautiful, warm Tuscan kitchen and cook the dinner together as a group! We have 4 ovens, two cook tops and two microwaves, so cooking is a snap! We also have plenty of pots, pans, trays and cooking utensils for your use.

Who would be good Guest Chefs? A family, youth group, fraternity or sorority, a group of co-workers or a group of friends. It’s a lot of fun, and a very loving way to give to people in a time of need.

Requirements:  Call (806) 744-8877 to schedule your meal on our meal calendar.  The Guest Chefs are responsible for providing the food. We serve dinner at 6pm, so please try to have dinner ready at that time.   If you’d like to provide a breakfast or lunch meal instead, we will gladly schedule that as well! All children and adolescents must be accompanied by adults.

Get ready for some really heartfelt appreciation from our families!
