In the Permian Basin area, Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Southwest launched the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile Program in 2007. It provides free or low-cost medical and health education services to undeserved children throughout the region.

The 42- foot unit is a state-of-the-art pediatric clinic on wheels, with two patient examination rooms, a laboratory and a medical records area. Services include: primary care, well-child visits, referrals, follow-up care, immunizations, hearing and vision screening, nutrition counseling, and more. By addressing the community’s most critical childhood health needs, the program is helping to reduce emergency room visits, increase immunization rates, raise awareness of healthy lifestyles and complement existing health care services.

From it’s launch in September 2007 through October 2016 the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile has provided over 23,250 child patient visits advancing our mission of health and well-being for children.
