The Red Shoe Crew is a group of caring, civic minded individuals asking for your donations to support families that are facing the nightmare of having a critically sick or injured child. They are dedicated to the programs and mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the southwest.
$1 = 1 VOTE!The Red Shoe Crew Member that raises the most money will be crowned as the King or Queen at the Red Shoe Shindig. Each Red Shoe Crew Member will also be eligible to win for helping spread the word about RMHC.
The Heart & Sole Award will be given to the Red show Crew member, or team, who made the biggest positive impact on the community during the campaign. Using outreach, events, education and friend-raising, this new addition to the Red Shoe Shindig is a reflection of appreciation for Keeping Families Close by creative means.
Marelyn Ramos grew up in a military family home and moved a lot when she was younger, living throughout the East Coast of the United States, Puerto Rico and Texas. She wanted to honor her father’s service, so she joined ROTC in high school, then after college she worked with the Wounded Warriors Program at Fort Sam Houston. Ramos is a graduate of UTSA with a Bachelor’s in Business Management. She received her Master’s at the University of El Turabo in Puerto Rico. Ramos has worked in the restaurant businesses since she was 17 years old. For the last eight years, she has dedicated herself to the Cheesecake Factory. She loves giving back to the community. Her goal is to someday work for a non-profit organization that puts its people first, like the Cheesecake Factory. Marelyn is family-oriented and believes in putting them first. She considers her work-family an extension of her immediate family.
