UPDATE: Due to COVID-19, the 2020 Red Shoe Shindig has been postponed! Please check back regularly for updates!
The Red Shoe Crew is a group of caring, civic minded individuals asking for your donations to support families that are facing the nightmare of having a critically sick or injured child. They are dedicated to the programs and mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the southwest.
$1 = 1 VOTE!The Red Shoe Crew Member that raises the most money will be crowned as the King or Queen at the Red Shoe Shindig. Each Red Shoe Crew Member will also be eligible to win for helping spread the word about RMHC.
The Heart & Sole Award will be given to the Red show Crew member, or team, who made the biggest positive impact on the community during the campaign. Using outreach, events, education and friend-raising, this new addition to the Red Shoe Shindig is a reflection of appreciation for Keeping Families Close by creative means.
Sidney & Kellie Moats
Born and raised near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and relocated to Lubbock about 6.5 years ago when I married my beautiful wife, Kellie. Graduated from Pennsylvania State University (We Are!…) with a Bachelors Degree in Business. Was in the Automotive Industry for 22 years before making a career move into Advertising. With the Avalanche Journal before moving to 2501 Digital and Ramar Communications a little over a year ago.
I love sports, especially Pittsburgh, Penn State and now very much a Texas Tech Red Raider fan! I have been involved in sports since I was 6 years old. From playing until I was 22, then moving onto coaching baseball for 24 years. Little League, Pony League, American Legion and AAU teams along with organizing numerous leagues.
My wife is a Texas Tech Graduate and currently works at The South Plains Association of Governments in Lubbock. Our children include Khaki, a miniature poodle, and her recently late brother, Sullivan (Sully). My wife and I can attest to the fact that I am the child in the household and will always be such 🙂
My reason for volunteering is to make a difference in peoples lives and the more, the merrier! It may sound cliche, but its the truth. If not me? Who?
I have become familiar with Ronald McDonald House Charities through numerous events back home in Pittsburgh with Mario Lemieux and the Pittsburgh Penguins Organization. Also, Kellie was a volunteer throughout her college years at Texas Tech and this organization.
We both look forward to helping anyway we can!
