RMHC cares for families both within our Ronald McDonald House and in our 4 Ronald McDonald Family Room programs in our partner hospitals. Cart with a Heart brings the comforts of the Ronald McDonald Family Room to pediatric patient’s rooms in the hospital. The cart brings drinks, snacks, toys, blankets, and more to patients and their families. This program gives children and families who are unable to make it to the Family Room a bit of joy while facing medical challenges.
Cart with a Heart is currently active at UMC Children’s Hospital and Covenant Children’s Hospital in Lubbock. The program will launch in the Permian Basin area—Medical Center Hospital in Odessa and Midland Memorial Hospital—in 2024.
