Committed to making a lasting positive impact on the lives of individuals, families, and children, the organization proudly extends a helping hand to those seeking educational advancement and support. With a deep-rooted mission to empower and uplift, the scholarships and grants offered by the Ronald McDonald House of the Southwest open doors to achievement, fostering both personal development and community enrichment.

At Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Southwest, we realize that a serious illness of a child can have a significant emotional and financial impact on the entire family.

Our scholarship program embraces our mission of offering support to ill or injured children and their families. We offer scholarships to applicants who have had a serious childhood sickness or are a sibling in an illness-affected family.

  1. Must be a graduating high school senior in our 68 county service area.
  2. Applicant either had/has a serious childhood illness/injury or a sibling who had/has a serious childhood illness/injury.
  3. (For Dina Jefferies Scholarship only) Been actively involved in local/regional leadership program(s).

Only one application per graduating senior will be accepted. Applicants can only win one scholarship: either the Janice Flemmons Scholarship OR the Dina Jeffries Leadership Scholarship. However, applicants may be considered for both scholarships with this application.

We’re sorry, online applications have closed. They are only available December 1st – March 15th. Please check back then!

Pediatric Therapy Room & Zip Line

The West Texas Rehab Center in San Angelo treats 75-90 pediatric patients each day. RMHC recently helped fund the remodeling and relocation of their beautiful, new pediatric program area. Now, parents can stay close to their children receiving their treatment and therapy. Many of the youngsters improve their development by utilizing the zip line that RMHC supplied for their Pediatric Sensory Integration Gym.

Women’s & Children’s Classroom:

The Labor and Delivery Classroom located inside Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene is used to educate new moms and dads on various aspects of childbirth, such as labor, delivery, and breastfeeding.
